Hello Kinfolk,
Just to update you on the state of things, the lids are now printed and shipping is underway. I was told though that freights are taking a long time to depart, and so it's likely stuff won't arrive for about 2 months now. Delays are unfortunate but, as I wrote last update, we really needed to redo those lids and make sure the game looks good for y'all, and that the cover was faithfully done.
In the meantime, updates may be more sparse simply because there ain't much to say. Still, I wanna update y'all on what I've been working on these weeks.
I've continued to flesh out the upcoming Salt States book, both in writing and illustrating it. If you are familiar with my games, you'll know I tend to start them off with a picture of the in-world characters playing the actual game - and so the Salt States book obviously got one, along with the introduction for the game:
I've also finally landed a "look" I like for the Salt Lords, I think they look pretty cool:
I've also been running Zephyr at my local club. We are doing a campaign where the group travels south in search for the Earthenlock; a colossal contraption that is meant to create a crossing between the Valley and the Yellow Plaque, which would allow a large scale Salt States invasion of the Shatterzone. It's gonna be pretty cool; I don't know if the players will choose to try to sabotage the whole thing or just to free as many enslaved Windfolk as they can. The game has been going pretty well too; we almost had half the party dead after an emergency landing when gliding - further proving how dangerous it can be.
As another bit of work I've been doing as of late, I started a Patreon to write about a lot of what I've learned all these years on design, games production, and illustration. If you are interested in that side of the hobby, it's something I'm working towards so it can be a cool resource - maybe check it out?
What's next in line for me the following months is working on those two things (Salt States and the Patreon) and to fully retake my work on re-editing Nibiru (my previous game), which will be getting a reprint via Kickstarter after we are done with Zephyr. If you are a fan of Nibiru then, you got that to look forward to :) I wanna take the chance to reorganize the contents, polish some of the writing, and probably adding a few of my own illustrations to it.
That's all for today! I'll get back to y'all when I got news, and so I hope you have a nice end of season. If you are moving houses, remember to send me an email so I can update your address accordingly for when we ship.
Best wishes,
Federico
